I just happened to come across this article by chance and thought it was wonderful. My now 12 y.o. son first learned Origami during an art class from one of his teachers who was from Japan. He was just 7 y.o. at the time and has been doing Origami since. I truely believe in it's healing powers, as he has a mood disorder and uses origami to self soothe and can make just about anything. When he wants to learn to make something new, he will go onto the internet and teach himself. Last year, at his school, the students in his class learned about Origami as part of the curriculum and ventured out to make 1000 paper cranes. He was able to help teach the other students. It was wonderful! Thank you for sharing this article. I am going to print it to show to my son. I know he will enjoy it also.
