Floyd Goss

I was recently at the North Texas VA Hospital ER for elevated BP, dizzines, and nervousness, I checked in at 2:30pm(1430 military time, sat for more than six hours to see a doctor and was finally told by one of the nurses that checked my blood pressure that it would be more than ten hours before I could see a doctor. Is this common in other states, I don't know, but isn't it a shame that so many men and women who gave up so much have to sit for long extended times to see a doctor to recieve medical help. I, myself, did not see active combat duty, but my heart aches for those that did and come back and have to wait and wait to get to see a doctor. Many veterans complain to each other about this injustice, but nothing is being done about it. The Veterans Administration should and must treat our men and women who fought for this country with more diginity and respect. Sitting in and emergency room for more than 10 hours to see a doctor is a slap in the face. Why is this? Don't our veterans deserve better for all that they gave up to protect this country?
