As a former employee of WSH, I think this is a wonderful project. We learn from the past and from the fragments of history that are left behind for us to piece together the fabric of how people lived and treated during those times. These "archeologists" are doing some great work! Keep it up!The past need to survive and reach out to the present and the future so we learn and can improve what we do. It's obvious this is what's happening in Worcester. I started my career at Northampton State Hospital and remember the countless items that were left behind. Some were probably destroyed when the buildings were taken down. However, there may still be some things left there that might be of use to your project. Since that hospital and whatever remains there is still part of DMH...you might want to contact someone at the Regional Office (Haskell Building)to see if there are any artifacts that could be obtained and added to your display. If so, you could note that they were donated from Northampton. In any case, what you are all doing is great and I hope to be able to view it in the near future. Thanks... Laurence A. White, Jr.
